Smith Anthem Regulator Spherical Series Goggles

Smith Anthem Regulator Spherical Series Goggles feature Regulator airflow to help eliminate fogging and spherical lenses for optically correct vision. Designed to fit small faces without compromising peripheral vision. High gloss frames and compression molded face foam combine to make these goggles the ideal product for expert and style conscious users alike. Utilizing highly polished optical molds, each spherical lens is individually molded to mimic the curvature of the eye to provide exact vision and eliminate distortion.

    Bottom Line:
The Smith Anthem Regulator delivers top performance to skiers and snowboarders with smaller faces.

    What you thought:
These are very good goggles, however I bought the smoke colored ones that have a clear gloss finish. The clear gloss peals off very easily and so does the foam padding as it’s attached to the gloss. Go for the painted finish such as the silver and pale blue. I have sent mine back for a warranty claim already and the second set is doing it again. But still very comfy goggles look wicked when they’re not falling apart. - Chris P

I've had these goggles for two months now and they are performing well. I've gone from 30F days to sub-zero temperatures and haven't had any issues with fogging or wind. The lens and exterior have held up, although I haven't been too rough on them, so I don't know if they'll scratch easily. I have a smaller face and other goggles were far too big, but these fit perfectly. All in all, I've been very happy and would recommend them. - Zo

The goggles are great - they fit well on my sweet protection helmet and best of all they arrived within a day of ordering them at the best price I could find--that's a triple score. - Elvia

    Palmer Unleashed Snowboard

Palmer pulls out all the stops to make their Unleashed Snowboard the most advanced freestyle board available. Everything they have learned from building technically advanced freestyle and freeride decks is let loose in the Unleashed, including their full-length wood core, prepreg S-Glass and fiberglass laminates and their award- winning Klothoid sidecut. Alone, each of these elements represents a significant advancement in board design; together they're a sinister combination that launches the Unleashed ahead of the herd. The tip-to-tail wood core gives a buttery smooth ride, while Cap Sidewall construction protects the edges and gives the board torsional rigidity. Built to perform equally well regular or switch, the Unleashed is a state of the art freestyle board for those that push their snowboarding in all directions.

    Bottom Line:
Go Unleashed for off - the - chain performance.

    Ride Decade Snowboard

Decade riders enjoy this Ride Snowboard's do-anything style. Ride's proven Misty 1 construction eliminates weight from the tip and tail without sacrificing strength. An amazing ability to hold turns even on hardpack is just the start of the Decade's resume. The sidewall and Response core nix vibrations before they get to you. Make turns or change direction at any speed thanks to a combination of quadratic sidecut and rider responsive flex. Any terrain is tamed by the Decade's directional shape for smooth handling all over the mountain.

    Bottom Line: Do it all.

    What you thought:
Bit of a treat. No wobbles/judders when taking it on the piste. Nice and snappy, carves into turns lovely, quality off piste. It can rescue you when it's all out of shape, being a bit snappy it makes you board properly and it's still alright if you want to mince about. - Up the Bum Dave

When I talk about the Decade its like a chicken pot pie with all the fixins. Not only does it kill the whole mountain, but while walking to the lifts the ladies can see my versatility. I personally like the milling between my legs. The board is very easy to lift off its edge in a hairball situations. Makes a sally ride like a sasquatch. - plow

The Ride Decade board is the best board I have ever been on. I am going to Austria for ten days to really try out my new board in the snow down there. The Ride Decade Freeride is the best and coolest board. - Mads Kristian Imenes

Forum Destroyer Snowboard Boot - Mens

Forum made the Men's Destroyer Snowboard Boot for freestyle riders who make a point to crush every corner of the park, every inch of the pipe, and every rail in sight. The mid-stiff Destroyer is just a bit softer than the Forum Kicker, giving it the versatility you need to make all the groms in the park bow to your steez. (Of course, we know that's not your MO—it just happens every time you crush rails and float huge gaps in their faces.) The Nexus Level II liner features built-on internal lacing for additional ankle support, a Phylon latex-lined tongue for enhanced impact absorption and comfort, and internal Achilles support to reduce heel lift. These liners mold to your feet using the heat and compression generated while snowboarding, meaning the longer you ride, the better they fit. The Destroyer's midsole is comprised of two layers of dual-density EVA with a gel insert in the heel for enhanced board feel and additional cushioning where it counts. *The Destroyer boot integrates best with the Destroyer binding.

Bottom Line: If chaos is your middle name, the Destroyer should be your sidekick.

    What you thought:
These boots are the best ones I’ve ever had. I didn’t know they would be so comfortable. As soon as I put my foot in the boot, it felt like the material was shaping to my foot in the most comfortable way. I definitely recommend these boots. - YorkBrett

These puppies are too warm for that late season ride! My feet were soaking wet in sweat. Once again this place was the lowest price on the net for this item. - Chris2006

The best boots I have ever had. Very comfortable and well insulated. They are great for freeriding or in the pipe. Thanks for the awesome boots. - PowPow

    Flow AMP 9i Snowboard Binding

Your best park moves won't go unnoticed with the Flow AMP 9i Snowboard binding; despite their stealthy snow camo graphics you'll be easy to spot as you bust out the best moves in the terrain park. After being the first one off the lift and riding – thanks to the Flow Reclining Highback – you'll be the first to throw down the newest tricks thanks to the AMP 9i and its park - friendly POM baseplate and supportive, but tweakable, nylon highback. A new exoskeleton strap puts boot-conforming foam under a power transferring shell for awesome comfort and control. Its color - infused camouflage won't rub off or fade away no matter how hard you shred.

Bottom Line: Get Amped on this awesome binding from Flow.

    What you thought:
These bindings are amazing! They give awesome support and are so fast. I didn’t think they would give as much support as a strap, but they are better! These are a steal of a buy. - scottman

If you’re thinking of buying Flow bindings, then these are the ones you should get. Great features (invisible screws, etc.), combined with a great style (Camo) and of course the molded strap which is forgiving enough for tricks and stiff enough for quick turns and off-piste riding. - Anonymous

The AMP 9 has to be one of the best flow bindings that I have ridden. These bindings work well in the park and even when I take them free-riding. I have had no problems with them and camo color is sick! - jflo02

    Forum Remix Freestyle Snowboard

The Forum RE:MX Snowboard is so easy to progress on that it's like a get-off-the-bunny-hill-free card for beginning riders who want to shred the entire mountain. The RE:MX has a soft tip and stiff tail to make turn initiation easy and still give you tons of pop when it's time to hit the park. The core on this Forum snowboard gets thinner between the bindings, creating a smooth, forgiving flex. Not only does this make the RE:MX very easy to turn, but it allows you to stick tricks if you don't land them perfectly. Anywhere on the mountain, its directional twin tip shape handles the terrain with ease.

Bottom Line: Are you a beginning snowboarder? You won't be for long when you're riding the Forum RE:MX snowboard.

    What you thought:
I bought a cheap board last season and learned on that. This year I wanted a better board and the Remix is what I ended up with. I LOVE IT. For the price you can't beat it. I am starting to hit some jumps in the park and this board loves to stomp the landings (maybe that is my mad skills...on second thought it is most def the board). I most definitely have more sex appeal on the slopes now. - J-$teezy

    K2 Recon Riser S-Class Snowboard

The K2 Recon Riser S-Class Snowboard sometimes gets lonely. It has plenty of friends (you'll be one soon) but it's so unlike any other all-mountain ride that it needs its own class—that of S. Designed for big-mountain rippers, snowboardcross aficionados, and hard-charging riders who live for big turns and eye-watering speed, the Recon makes the most of its solitude. With 6mm of built-in riser height that includes 2mm of vibration-absorbing material on top, you'll have unbelievable edge hold and control. Haul ass down groomers while carving trenches without chatter, but don't think the Recon's so uptight that it'll only ride one type of terrain. Take it in the steeps where you have to hop from turn to turn and edge to edge, and feel how confidently it grips that crusty snow. When it dumps, the Recon's mission is far from over; its solid flex and longer length give you a sublime ride. No wonder the Recon spends so much time alone—other boards just can't keep up.

Bottom Line: Accelerate your riding on the Recon.

    What You All Thought:
I ride a Burton Air 165, but on my last trip I had a spin on my buddies Recon Riser 157. I thought it would be way too small and unsuitable; I was surprised at the result. It held like glue, no chatter at speed, and easy turning. Now I have to get one. - cog

I just went to Colorado this past weekend on vacation and tried out two different boards. I rode the K2 recon riser S-class 157cm, and it was amazing. I am comparing this board to the Burton Air 157cm, which I rode the first day at Breckenridge and it did okay. Wasn't the greatest handling but did okay. I rode the Recon Riser the next day at A-basin, and the board handled very well. It's a bit on the heavy side but where ever you wanted to go, it took you. Also the ride was the smoothest I've felt. - lilboy03

    Sapient Solstice Snowboard

Sapient designed the Women's Solstice Snowboard for the intermediate-to-expert freeride ladies who want to go everywhere. A poplar core and Quadraxial glass laminate yield a women's-specific flex. It's softer in the nose for easier turn initiation and a more forgiving ride through the rough stuff; the tail is a little stiffer to better absorb landings and to allow you to hold powerful carves with ease. 30-degree ABS sidewalls increase power transfer over the edge and provide reliable core protection. The progressive directional shape floats above the deep, and lets you stomp it switch any time you please.

Bottom Line: Sapient's Solstice represents the zenith of female-specific freeride snowboards.

    Capita Lifestyle Snowboard

The Capita Lifestyle is defined by creativity and self-control. Capita's crew of Northwest-nomads have taken snowboarding back from the evil clutches of jocks and other robotic-athletes. In doing so they have reintroduced the fun of self-expression to our favorite pastime, snowboarding. Their Lifestyle snowboard is a direct reflection of this approach. Its versatile shape is slightly tapered for easy turning on groomed slopes and powder fields. The smoothed-out flex pattern offers a ride that puts you in charge. This lets you try new tricks without getting beaten when you coming up short. Capped construction reduces weight and increases torsional rigidity for a board that carves like crazy and craves airtime. Artistic graphics complete the Lifestyle with a look that stands out from the crowd.

Bottom Line: You have to ask yourself “do I live the Capita Lifestyle?”
    What You Thought:
I rode last year’s model, the photo collage all season in all conditions. Favorite thing about this board is the shape. Directional board with mellow sidecut. Great for freeriding, light and durable. The lifestyle rides like a high end snowboard but at a nice price. Plenty of sizes for anyone, even chicks. The 164cm is my favorite board for the powder, ever. - kind bro

This board is my favorite all-around board! Soft enough to hit all the jibs in the park and has enough side cut to handle runs through the half pipe. - Ryan Thompson

    Jeenyus Eddie Wall Pro Model

Take it from the pow to the streets on the Jeenyus Eddie Wall Pro Model Snowboard. This soft-flexing freestyle board is so easy to command that you'll feel like a champ carving turns and bashing rails. Eddie rides all three board sizes; the shortest for rails, the mid-size for park and the longest on the deep pow days. The contact lengths of the boards makes them feel like they're longer on the snow, while the short overall length makes them easy to spin when you get off the ground. Eddie showed his respect for Peter Line and Kevin Jones by putting their names in the graphics of his first pro model board. The Jeenyus Misfoot 2x6 mounting inserts give you tons of stance options. You can move your stance back on powder days and center it when you're working the park.

Bottom Line: A soft-flexing board that's at your command.

I didn't know anything about this board before I bought it. But I am so pleased with it. The flex pattern is on the softer side, but it still has a bunch of pop to it. It also feels like a longer board because he made the sidecut on it really long. Overall, it is a sick shred stick. - Berto

    How was the season

A little birdy tells me that Switzerland had some more snow 2 days ago. What is happening with the worlds weather patterns. It is meant to be their Summer at the moment.

Hopefully this doesn't stuff up our season. (Those of us in the Southern Hemisphere).

    Tax Free

I had hoped to get to NewZealand again this year, but I feel there is little or no chance of that happening. So what can a guy with an itch for the snow do?

Well what I have come up with is that I will go to the Eastern States for at least a few days sometime this season. Probably Falls Creek, I haven't really given it too much thought at the moment.

    DogFunk - Snowboard Shop
You see what is stopping me from going to NewZealand is the fact that i'm moving in with my girl friend. (Those of you who read my personal blog, iBlab, would already know that) So now that I have that as my new love, she can't get holidays to go the NewZealand. I am hopeing she will be able to get at least 3-4 days off and we can hit some slopes somewhere.

So at the moment I will just have to be content with going ice-skating.

So I sign off a snow missing boarder!
