    Sydney

I'm still in Sydney. Its fantastic at the moment.

I saw the harbour bridge along with the opera house. I never realised how big the bridge was. I have been to Oxford street, there are some funny people around but hey you get that.

I'll post something more interesting very soon. Sorry about the short post.

Option Snowboards GT Snowboard - Men's

Option builds the GT Snowboard or big or small guys that are just getting into riding. Sharing the killer quality and careful design of Option's more expensive boards, the GT is ready to take you from beginner runs to intermediate terrain and beyond. This board's smooth shape and soft flex make it a smooth turner and easy to control as you learn the basics and master new tricks. A full wood core and sandwich construction can't be beat, and performs for riders of any level. This construction makes this board much more fun to ride than many other entry-level set up.

Bottom Line: Now get out there and ride!

    Jeenyus Eddie Wall Pro Model

Take it from the pow to the streets on the Jeenyus Eddie Wall Pro Model Snowboard. This soft-flexing freestyle board is so easy to command that you'll feel like a champ carving turns and bashing rails. Eddie rides all three board sizes; the shortest for rails, the mid-size for park and the longest on the deep pow days. The contact lengths of the boards makes them feel like they're longer on the snow, while the short overall length makes them easy to spin when you get off the ground. Eddie showed his respect for Peter Line and Kevin Jones by putting their names in the graphics of his first pro model board. The Jeenyus Misfoot 2x6 mounting inserts give you tons of stance options. You can move your stance back on powder days and center it when you're working the park.

Bottom Line: A soft-flexing board that's at your command.

    DogFunk - Snowboard Shop

    Notable:

A competitor in both SuperPipe and Slopestyle now at her fourth WX, Torah came her closest to a medal in '05's SuperPipe event, where she placed 4th behind powerhouse Hannah Teter. The pint-sized Aussie is literally always on the snow, training during both Southern and Northern Hemisphere winters. Her relentless riding has paid off in versatility and a smooth, amped style that transfers easily between pipe and park. In April '05, she was invited to compete in snowboarding legend Terje Haakonsen's Arctic Challenge in Norway, where she won the quarterpipe contest.

Torah had been riding for less that 4 years when she started making waves on the pro scene as a member of the Roxy international team. An accomplished pipe and slopestyle rider, she finished the '04 season ranked 2nd in the world by the FIS for halfpipe after winning the final event in Italy. The 18-year-old Australian is known for her lofty McTwists in the SuperPipe.

This young Aussie made heads turn when she took 2nd at the 2002 World Snowboarding Championships Big Air (Feb.' 02) at only 15-years-old. Now 17, Torah continues to define her snowboard skills with a fearless approach to big air jumps and rails alike, pushing for innovative tricks like the Cab 540 attempted at WX '03.

    Quote:
The name Torah "is Hebrew from the old testament, means bearer of great message - ha."
"On snowboard events, I'm just like a little girl in a candy shop, I'm just so excited to be there."

    Nidecker Pro 800 Snowboard Binding

A favorite of Nidecker team riders like Mikko Rajkangas, the Pro 800 is a highly responsive all-mountain snowboard binding for boarders who need one setup to do it all. The key to the Pro 800's versatility is Nidecker's Lateral Dampening System. This integrated baseplate allows lateral flex to absorb shocks while it increases edge-to-edge control, giving you excellent turning power. With a hollow highback for reduced weight, the Pro 800 increases your board's performance without excessive bulk.

Bottom Line: The Pro 800 takes charge on any terrain.

They have only been used once but worked well. They don't have wrist straps which come in handy when you take them off on the chairlift. My hands were still warm when wet, but in below zero weather I would use handwarmers with them. - O.R SNOWLINE MITTS

Head Snowboards USA i.Con Snowboard - Wide

Head's i.CON Wide Snowboard is the intelligent choice for all-mountain rippers who put thought into their gear and their riding. The i.CON is equipped with Head's Intellifiber technology that adapts the board's stiffness and flex to match the changing conditions – no BS. When dropping into slick chutes, the i.CON stiffens for increased edge grip; while riding powder the Intellifibers soften for a plush ride. The i.CON Wide Snowboard has a 25.9cm waist that accommodates riders with boots over size 10. To attain break-neck speeds, this deck is fitted with a super-fast Sintered 7200 competition base. Its tip-to-tail Type 25 wood core provides crisp performance and is topped with Freeflex II mounting plates that allow the i.CON to flex naturally. An elliptical sidecut is dialed for confident control when trying all of your tricks switch or charging headlong at big hits. The Head i.CON hits the mark for intermediate to advanced riders in any terrain.

With the Northen hemisphere season finishing how was it? Are you following the snow down under? or are you just waiting till your season comes around again.

I personally hope to be able to get to NZ this season. There is of course one small issue that might hinder that decision. I am in love! With who you ask, well if you read my other blog iBlab you would already know but for those that don't here are a few posts that will enlighten you if that is what you feel like.

    Spam??

For those of you who have logged on in the past two days I am truely sorry there has been know updates.

    Reason number 1.
Monday was a public holiday so I wasn't in the office or not even close to a computer. Due to the industry I am in if I can get away from the computer for a day I take it.

    Reasong number 2.
Blogger (Google) has some automatic systems which screen blogs listed. For some reason they thought that this blog was a Spam Blog. I just got the all clear today that I have been "whitelisted" which I assume is better then "blacklisted" so I am able to post again. Obviously you can't have people linking to you and you can't have too many links going out, or you get picked up by this crawling application.

There will be a topic related post later on today, just thought I would let everyone know.

    Protect your eyes

Before you put your goggles on you need to wear some hot sunnies before you get to the slopes.

Spy Curtis Sunglasses - Polarized Photochromic

The Spy Curtis Polarized Photochromic Sunglasses have a tight frame with bold lines, and the lenses automatically darken in bright light. The fast sweeping curves of the Curtis hug Spy's ARC lenses, which mimic the natural curvature of your eye and become slightly thinner around the edges for distortion-free optics. One of a kind

Today, when I was thinking about what to post and just generally searching the Internet it dawned on me. I haven't really come across any other blog that is like mine.

Considering something like 80000 new blogs get made a day this is something remarkable. But wait I have just had a thought. Obviously I wasn't really thinking about it too much because as I am typing this I realise there must be more Snowsport related blogs. The category which we are under on the Top 10 Sources website is Snowsports.

So that is the end of that thought obviously.

As you all know my passion is Snowboarding. But what I would like to start to get from all the readers is thoughts of your own about any snowsport. Tell me so I can tell the world, your thoughts on resorts, equipment & anything else you think people would find interesting.

Anyway guys & girls i must be off.

    The end

With the end of the 2006 winter games Germany came out in front.

To view the medal tally click here.

I guess it would be wise to install a countdown script which will count down till the next winter olympics.

It looks like TV will go back to its normal boring self as of today onwards.

So that is all from us today. More of what you love tomorrow!
