    Burton Fish Snowboard

The Burton Fish Snowboard doesn't let a single powder day get away. Designed by the world's best riders for the best conditions, the Fish only has one thing on its mind – deep snow. Inspiration from surfing, old school snowboards, and endless rooster tails lead Terje and Burton to develop this unique deck. A super-wide nose and short tail automatically adjust to increased snow depth so you don't have to—no more wearing out your back leg trying to make your board stay afloat. A long list of top-shelf Burton components, including a Super Fly II core and Sintered Vision Base, makes this short stick lightweight and highly maneuverable. This Fish takes advantage of its reduced length and a new tail shape to swim through trees, turn on a dime, and come up often for air.

Bottom Line: Play in the deep end.

    Burton Custom X Snowboard

Burton's Custom X continues the evolution of the world's best known snowboard. The Custom series from Burton has been so popular that almost every other brand has copied it in some way. Burton does one better with the unbeatable Custom X. Using almost three decades of board building experience, Burton can build a board that no one else can touch. Truly an all-mountain board, the Custom X benefits from the proven Dragonfly wood core, Vaporskin Topsheet, Pro-Tip, and Sintered WFO base. These enhancements reduce the overall weight and hop-up the speed of this top-performing board. With a shape that rules any terrain, this customized Custom excels everywhere from steep lines to huge kickers.

Bottom Line: The best keeps getting better.

    What you thought:
I used a Burton Custom for five years and I absolutely loved it. It had such a good feel on so many types of terrain. Even easy to go down moguls with it! :-) Finally last winter someone broke into our shed and stole it. Now I'm definately looking into buying another Custom. - Kelsi

    Ride Kink Snowboard

When it's time to get creative in the terrain-park, it's time for the Ride Kink Snowboard. The Kink's Slimewall sidewalls are ultra durable and the Cleave Edges have almost 50% more steel than conventional edges—so detune the crap out of this freestyle board and ride the rails, boxes, and ledges all winter. 45 Thin Con construction transfers energy directly to the edges and keeps swing weight low to give you amplitude and spinning ease. With a radial sidecut and a soft flex, this board has a predicable ride and holds an edge well in the pipe. Off the hits, the Kink's True Color sintered base gives you the speed while its twin shape design gives you the control to land that cab 540.

Bottom Line: Ride the park everyday and then ride it some more on the Kink freestyle snowboard.

    K2 Recon Riser S-Class Snowboard

The K2 Recon Riser S-Class Snowboard sometimes gets lonely. It has plenty of friends (you'll be one soon) but it's so unlike any other all-mountain ride that it needs its own class—that of S. Designed for big-mountain rippers, snowboardcross aficionados, and hard-charging riders who live for big turns and eye-watering speed, the Recon makes the most of its solitude. With 6mm of built-in riser height that includes 2mm of vibration-absorbing material on top, you'll have unbelievable edge hold and control. Haul ass down groomers while carving trenches without chatter, but don't think the Recon's so uptight that it'll only ride one type of terrain. Take it in the steeps where you have to hop from turn to turn and edge to edge, and feel how confidently it grips that crusty snow. When it dumps, the Recon's mission is far from over; its solid flex and longer length give you a sublime ride. No wonder the Recon spends so much time alone—other boards just can't keep up. *Available for US shipment only.

    Bottom Line:
Accelerate your riding on the Recon.

Anon Majestic Goggle Gold Mirrored - Women's

The Women's Majestic Gold Mirror goggle is well proportioned. Their balanced shape works with a girl's face and doesn't bury you under a too-wide frame. Different face sizes are accommodated by Auto-Adjust straps that instantly give you a good fit. Air Mesh Ventilation is being patented by Anon as a unique way to move air and create fog-free vision. Gold mirrored lenses give great contrast in a variety of conditions, including intense sun, and can be swapped-out with other tints to dial in your optics. Styled with Anon's unique colors and graphics the Majestic Gold Mirrored is ready to show you the way. AVAILABLE FOR SHIPMENT TO THE US AND CANADA ONLY.

Bottom Line: The Majestic is a proportionally better goggle.

    What you thought:
Anytime I wear the Polka Dot Goggles on the hill, all the guys stare. It’s a bit intimidating when I'm riding a gnarly hill, or acting silly in the lifeline, but I show them the way and who could blame them. These goggles are hot. Oh—and they work really well too. I haven't had issues with fogging (beyond the every once in a while weather issues.) The mirror lens works well for all bluebird days, and even in low light in a pinch. Rock on. - litteringand...

    Arbor Stance Snowboard

The Arbor Stance Snowboard was built with a single type of rider in mind–kickass women who spend the whole day tearing up the park. The Stance is a no-BS, twintip freestyle machine with a bamboo-reinforced core to give light, aggressive riders plenty of pop for kickers and quick turn initiation. You can pick the sickest lines through the park and throw down. The Stance's sidewall construction stands up to a beating on the kinks and gives your edge control in pipe and on icy take-offs. If you're spinning backside fives and blindsiding the C rail (or workin' on it), then this is your ride.

Bottom Line: Warning: This board is for kickass women only. If you are not one of them, move along.

    What you thought:
I road this board at Mt. Hood this summer and fell in love. I have ridden probably 30 boards over the last eight years and this one is by far the best park board of them all. The only board that came close was the Rome Detail. - cnpemt

    Northwave Decade SL Snowboard Boot

Northwave put their patented lacing system to use in the Decade SL Snowboard Boot. One pull of the SL Lace System gives you vice-like tightening. This results in the elimination of gaps and hotspots for a fit that forms to your foot. Its 3-ply upper tag teams with support and insulation so the Decade SL will drive into turns and react instantly while maintaining warmth around your toes. Equipped with the TF3 liner, this boot feels better every time you put it on. Northwave's natural rubber outsole provides advanced board feel and excellent grip.

Bottom Line: A decade of experience packed into a boot.

    What you thought?
The Lacing system on these boots really works. I thought it was stupid and gimmiky at first, but it stays tight all day and is so comfy. Easy in and out and no tying laces. Sweet boots. - Easternboarder

These boots are unbelievable! Can't believe how comfortable they are. The liner is cushy and warm. They are perfect for all day freeriding, yet have enough flex to head to the park. The SL lacing is a great combo of BOA and traditional. I have big, flat, feet with a high instep. Best boots I've ever had. - JTalive7

Very nice stiff boot. The lacing system works flawlessly. Getting in and out is so easy. Definitely worth the money. - cloudrydin

The Nitro Team is the easiest riding snowboard you'll ever have strapped to your feet. It has a subtle directional shape to give you more control at speed and the Dual-Degressive Sidecut helps the board ride more like a twin-tip so you can charge switch with confidence. This smooth ride also comes in a wide for riders who leave a boot print bigger than a 10. If you want to hit the park with more confidence this winter, you should stop messing around with your old sled and hook up the Nitro Team snowboard.

Bottom Line: Effortless riding in the park and pipe.

    What you thought:
Yeah, I rode one of these on a demo day and it all right for someone who is used to a heavier board, but the weight of it was pretty much "all in the tips". It works well for rails and stuff like that, so it’s up to you to make the decision. Cheers! - Dan

    K2 WWW Snowboard

The K2 WWW Snowboard (that's World Wide Weapon, though we suggest keeping that on the DL so the Feds don't come after you) is the K2 team's jibber of choice. The WWW is fully prepared for any rail-infested environment from global urban assault to terrorizing your local terrain park. Built to spin, the WWW has a true twintip design and centered stance for balanced swing weight and seamless fakie transitions. The short nose and tail give you extra effective edge, meaning you can ride a 151cm if you're usually on a 157cm. To that end, K2 added a 155cm board to the mix for 2005-2006, so if you're Jon Kooley-tall, you can get on a board that fits. The soft flex lets you smooth nose and tail presses like butta. Forgiving enough to let you nail that 900 you‘re so close to stomping, you'll improve your reputation as a major threat. The WWW's graphics are compliments of The London Police, so get up, get out, and go shred.

Bottom Line: Ride where you wanna ride.
